Our Land is made for those who would like to pamper their souls and give their bodies a real treat. Not only has Mecklenburg-Vorpommern been richly endowed with a healthy climate and intact nature, but the state also disposes of a highly modern hotel landscape offering a large number of wellness programmes.
To distinguish ourselves specifically in this sector and to utilise these opportunities for growth, our Land stakes its future on quality management: Mecklenburg-Vorpommern has been the first federal state to introduce a certified wellness quality seal which hotels, rehabilitation facilities and leisure spa resorts can apply for. According to a criteria catalogue of 180 items, the German Wellness Association verifies, for example, if an institution employs trained personnel and disposes of a modern infrastructure. Thus the certificate provides the guest with quality assurance and is at the same time an effective advertising tool for the provider.
And in the coming years the business branch expects further growth – interest in wellness is increasing and the wide range of such programmes in our state offers something to suit every taste.
