Two legs pushing, two wheels rolling – and a uniquely beautiful land whose peaceful paths lead through forests and fields, through villages and towns, which invite cyclists to linger a while and explore. It all fits together and makes Mecklenburg-Vorpommern a popular address for cyclists. How about visiting, for example, the Slavs in the open-air museum of Groß Raden? Or how about a tour around the Bodden? Discover traces left by the last Ice Age or explore the fauna and flora in the State Nature Park on your bicycle. The number of cycling tours through MV is almost infinite.
If you have the time and the stamina, you needn’t restrict yourself to short tours: several long-distance cycling paths lead through Mecklenburg-Vorpommern along the Baltic Sea coast and through the lake district, across islands and through river valleys as far as Poland or Scandinavia.
