Stormsdorfer Bachtal Landscape Conservation Area

The Stormsdorfer Bachtal Landscape Conservation Area in the administrative district of Bad Doberan covers 1.15 square kilometres and lies on both sides of the Reppelin Creek. The region is bordered by the village of Stormstorf in the north and reaches as far as Tessin in the south. Geologically speaking it belongs to the hilly ground moraine landscape of Mecklenburg and is characterised by many smaller and higher hilltops with mostly outletless basins in between.

The forest areas of the Wolfsberg Woods, mostly dominated by deciduous trees, belong to the landscape conservation area. Above all, old beech grow here. Holiday makers and recreation seekers can explore the region on cycling and hiking trails. The starting point for these excursions is the town of Tessin.
