| Administrative district(s) or town: | North-west Mecklenburg |
| Size: | 3 square kilometres |
| Reserve since: | 1996 |
| Location: | The reserve reaches from Nedder Lake near Gadebusch to the mouth of the Stepenitz near Börzow. |
Between Gadebusch and Rehna the landscape is characterised by the bends of the meandering Radegast River. The river valley was shaped during the Vistula Ice Age and is surrounded by lowland moors. Nedder Lake near Gadebusch, however, is surrounded by headwater moors. Reed areas extend along the lake shores and along the wet grounds in the lowlands.
Radegast Valley is characterised by diversified vegetation. The only habitat of the spotted knapweed in all of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern is to be found near Rehna. 20 lamprey and fish species have been identified in the river, and the endangered freshwater mussel can be found here, too.
Protective efforts focus on the meandering middle and lower course of the Radegast. Between Rehna and Gadebusch hiking trails allow views of the river valley.
