Every year between June and September enthusiasts of classical music from throughout the Federal Republic come to our state. The Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival – Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern – is the attraction.
The visitors may select from more than 100 concerts. It is a special feature that many of the events take place far from the big concert halls. Besides established facilities, country estates, village churches and barns throughout the state serve as stages, whose numbers are increasing every year.
The historical atmosphere and often rather small circles render a unique atmosphere to the appearances of internationally significant soloists. In the series called "Junge Elite" you can listen to developing young talent. Whether in the knights’ hall of Ulrichshusen Castle or on the Redefin stud farm – treat yourself to an unforgettable music experience. And perhaps you will even make the personal acquaintance of the guest star after the concert.
