Tourist Associations
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern belongs to the most popular holiday destinations in Germany. It is the objective of the tourist associations, which are active regionally and state wide, to strengthen and expand this position. They compile information about accommodation and activities, advertise at fairs and exhibitions, support touristic infrastructures and are thus the link between the holidaymakers and the hosts.
Hence the Tourismusverband Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V. (Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Tourist Board) is a holding which coordinates touristic offers in the state and supports the cooperation of the regional associations. At the same time the association assumes the tasks of attracting new guests and ensuring the quality of the offers. To encourage the fulfilment of this task, quality seals are issued in compliance with objective preconditions. Such seals are awarded for example in the area of travel for young people, water tourism or in the wellness sector.
