State Signet
In addition to flags and coats of arms, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern uses a state signet. The logo symbolises the landscape rich in diversity: The blue of the sky and the water meet and unite with the green of the forests and meadows with rolling hills and with the yellow of rape fields in bloom. This logo and the writing used for “Mecklenburg-Vorpommern” form the signet of the state.
The signet is also used in connection with the state marketing campaign “MV tut gut” (“MV does a world of good”). The slogan promotes the features of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: the touristic qualities, health economy or, for example, craftsmanship. Hence it contributes to establishing Mecklenburg-Vorpommern as a well-known brand in the competition of regions. In the interest of setting up uniform advertising for the state, all fields of social life – from the economy to politics and on to art and culture – are integrated into the “MV tut gut” campaign.
